| Job Summary: |
The Director oversees the Greater Arizona Development Authoritys (GADA) mission to promote economic development and infrastructure improvement throughout Arizona with an emphasis on rural communities. The Director manages GADAs operations implements policies and procedures provides board support and ensures the success of its programs and initiatives.
GADA provides financial assistance issues bonds and administers infrastructure projects across the state. The Director also supports the Arizona Finance Authority (AFA) and its programs as needed.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the departments business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.
| Job Duties: |
Project Management:
Oversee and manage infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with all regulatory financial and budgetary requirements
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain positive relationships with political subdivisions special districts Indian tribes and other key partners involved in infrastructure development
Public Speaking & Representation:
Present to groups of various sizes and represent GADA in meetings conferences and public forums
Grants and Funding:
Identify secure and manage grants and other financial assistance to support GADAs initiatives and programs
Team & Consultant Management:
Hire supervise and collaborate with professional staff and consultants to effectively carry out GADAs operations
Compliance & Oversight:
Ensure GADAs adherence to all applicable laws regulations and reporting requirements; manage the proper handling of funds and administrative fees related to financial programs
Board Management:
Work closely with the GADA Board to maintain compliance with statutes and rules and to advance strategic objectives
Strategic Leadership:
Provide vision and direction to align GADAs goals and activities with its mission of promoting economic development and infrastructure improvement statewide

| Selective Preference(s): |
A Bachelors Degree with a preference for a Masters Degree in political science public administration government finance communications or a related field
A minimum of five (5) years of combined work experience preferably in Arizona in finance economic development project management or public infrastructure
