Quality Staffing Inc. also doing business as Goddard Mason Executive Search a leading full-service employment agency matching qualified talent with some of the areas top companies is seeking an experienced Senior Enterprise Systems Designer/Terraform/GCP Data Engineer to workthrough our agency as a contract employee with the Tennessee Department of Finance & Administration Enterprise Resource Planning System (TN F&A ERP) located in Nashville TN. This is a hybrid position working Monday through Fridayfrom 8:00 am to 4:30 pm for a total of 37.5 hours per week. The pay rate for this position is $61.00 per hour.
Sr Enterprise Systems Designer Job Description:
The Sr Enterprise Systems Designer will be designing the data center infrastructure relating to enterprise service delivery. This could include networks (routers switches connectivity and wiring) IP address configuration and management firewalls servers (e.g. Unix Sun Solaris Microsoft Windows and NetWare) SAN tape backup systems disk to disk archival systems and databases such as SQL and Oracle. This role will involve gathering requirements and designing and creating an implementation plan around the requested technology or solution. This senior level role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills IT project management experience and the ability to work directly with multiple levels of staff and management. Taking initiative having an enterprise view and being results-focused will be expected and the role will be accountable for architecting and designing comprehensive solutions which meet the State of Tennessees business requirements on high-impact projects. The candidate will partner with key roles (Project Managers Business Analysts etc.) to create well-defined solutions which align with the States IT Strategy and leverages common solutions and services to meet key project goals. This role will be responsible for solution evaluation and selection buy vs. build decisions early-phase project estimates which contribute to the business case and high-level design and will provide guidance and architectural oversight during the detailed design build test and deploy phases.**SOME ON-SITE WORK WILL BE REQUIRED SO CANDIDATE MUST BE LOCAL TO NASHVILLE TN**
Skills and Qualifications Needed for Sr Enterprise Systems Designer position:
- Deep expertise in Terraform (HCL) and GCP architecture.
- Familiarity with networking IAM logging and monitoring in GCP.
- Experience integrating Terraform with CI/CD and GitOps workflows.
- Knowledge of scripting (Python Bash) for automation and maintenance.
- Understanding of state management secrets handling and cloud security.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience in IT project management.
- Experience in network or data center design.
- MUST BE LOCAL TO NASHVILLE!
Education and Experience Requirements for Sr Enterprise Systems Designer position:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelors degree and five years of current professional level experience in this job class.
