Job Summary
Overview
Provide clerical support for the counseling staff and program manager of the Substance Abuse programs.
This is a 3rd shift position and pays $16.00/hr.
Responsibilities
- Answer telephone and assist callers as needed complete client initial screening sheet and file for future use and review.
- If applicable assist the night nurse with client care ie alert clients when needed by the nurse for vital checks and medications.
- Prepare client meal list daily issue client meal tickets secure meals for clients confined to the Detox floor. Ready clients for breakfast escort to dining room if needed.
- Complete daily team leader report fine in Managers mailbox.
- Coordinate cleanliness of client rooms bathrooms day room and common areas on the Detox floor.
- Complete laundry and clothes washing as needed.
- Complete filing of client records yellow and white cards on top of the filing cabinet
- Other duties as designated by the ADAS manager and/or Executive Director
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Must be able to routinely lift and carry boxes weighing 50 pounds or more.
- Must be able to use stairs when necessary for building evacuations drills or during elevator maintenance.
- Read and write legibly. Good communication skills.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or in process of obtaining.
- Effective in dealing with the public and/or dealing with intoxicated individuals
