Job Duties
Deputy Clerk (Grade 8) is assigned operational responsibilities in high volume office with frequent deadlines and time sensitive statutory requirements. Provides support to the Clerk of Court and Judge. Ensures Courts instructions are executed and legal papers prepared with accuracy and in accordance with appropriate policies and judicial instructions.
Delivers high degree of customer service to the public attorneys and supporting agencies by providing information in person and by telephone. Weekly docket preparation attend court sessions and enter data in case management system. Receipt financial transactions and conduct cash reconciliation. Will work public service counter as well as other responsibilities that may be assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
Most competitive applicants will have knowledge of court/criminal justice system and will demonstrate competence in areas of responsibility and accuracy. Demonstrate extremely strong general office and customer service skills. Possess the ability to work in a team-based environment be able to multi-task and handle a high-volume workload. Accurate data entry and computer skills required. High school diploma or equivalent required.
Additional Considerations
COURT OR LEGAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED.
