Regulatory Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Relevant activity experience
Current CPR certification
Current certification in 1st Aid (Basic knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering basic first aid and resident care
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School education preferred
Previous experience with geriatric clients preferred as well as the desire to work with seniors with memory impairment in a social model of care
Patience tact enthusiasm and positive attitude toward the elderly
Good physical and mental health neat clean well groomed and responsible
Must be ambulatory and in sound physical condition be able to lift up to 50 lbs. bend to the floor reach above head sit and perform repetitive movements with arms and legs.
Must be able to squat reach and stretch without distress. Must be able to tolerate extended periods of walking and standing
Must have working knowledge of; Microsoft Copier Scanner and Shredder
CNA (not required)
Special Dementia Training preferred
Language Skills:
Able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
Additional languages preferred.
Skills:
Basic computer knowledge.
