Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled engineer to drive the development configuration and implementation of digital and automated control systems for heating and refrigeration applications. This role focuses on GEA Omni system integration commissioning support and digital connectivity via GEA Cloud.

Responsibilities / Tasks

System Integration & Commissioning:

  • Configure GEA Omni control systems and support system integration.
  • Prepare electrical drawings and control panel layouts.
  • Conduct software testing FAT and on-site commissioning.

Development & Standardization:

  • Design hardware/software solutions aligned with GEA standards.
  • Collaborate on new features and control modules.
  • Support product development and testing phases.

Digitalization & Cloud Connectivity

  • Ensure all Omni systems connect to GEA Cloud.
  • Manage EULA processes and data protection documentation.
  • Track and report on digital connection targets.

Project Support & Knowledge Sharing:

  • Assist sales and execution teams with new and retrofit projects.
  • Provide training and updates on Omni systems.
  • Promote standardization and continuous improvement.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:

  • National Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • 10 years relevant experience in similar functions.
  • Siemens TIA Portal / PCS7 Rockwell Studio 5000 Schneider / Wonderware / AVEVA.
  • Industrial automation and control systems (PLC SCADA HMI BMS).
  • Electrical/software contracting and instrumentation.
  • CAD technical documentation.
  • Strong automation experience.
  • Understanding of Industrial Refrigeration Electrical/Software Contracting operational processes and procedures.
  • Use of standards safety regulations testing requirements etc.
  • Microsoft Office efficiency.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
