KNOWLEDGE:

• Knowledge of laws principles practices and techniques of professional nursing.
• Knowledge of medication administration and complex mathematical calculations for the correct dosage.
• Knowledge of maintaining medical records charts reports and observations.
• Knowledge of the aging process medical problems and diseases and behavioral issues.
• Knowledge of federal state and local laws pertaining to health care and Standards of Nursing Practice.
• Knowledge of and ability to function and make decisions in high-stress situations.
• Knowledge of and ability to use good oral and written communication skills to articulate thoughts and medical terminology.

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Lift/transfer patients to different positions.
• Lift medical/patient equipment of varying sizes and weights to about 50 lbs.
• Work holidays evenings nights and/or weekends as scheduled.

• A background check including the taking of fingerprints will be completed through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation the Department of Family Services and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for every successful applicant.
• For our residents health and protection annual influenza vaccination is required and annual testing for tuberculosis.
• Employees of this facility will be expected to follow all rules and requirements established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services regarding COVID-19.
• Pre-employment drug testing will be conducted on safety-sensitive positions (direct patient care positions are considered safety-sensitive). Drug and alcohol testing will be conducted in any position if reasonable suspicion exists.
• The Wyoming Department of Health is an E-Verify employer.

  • One year of service in the position must be completed. Failure to complete this requirement will require reimbursement of the bonus with the funds deducted from the final pay.
  • Internal candidates will be required to remain in the position for a minimum of (1) year from the promotion date.
