Purpose: The purpose of theSki Patrol Supervisoris to:
The Ski Patrol Supervisor will assist the Ski Patrol Manager and Assistant Managers in supervising the Ski Patrol Department in all aspects of the YC Ski Patrol Operations as outlined in the Ski Patrol Manual and the Duties and Responsibilities below. The Ski Patrol Supervisor should be able to perform all YC Ski Patrol duties as written in the Ski Patrol job the Managers and Assistant Managers absence the Supervisor will supervise and manage the Ski Patrol staff following ski patrol policies and procedures.
Major Responsibilities

Help manage a consistent signage fencing hazard marking and padding program;
Understands and helps implement a risk management policy meeting YC insurance company and industry standards;
May interact with grooming department to assess slope conditions;
Assists Snow Safety department in implementing avalanche control and avalanche hazard assessment.
Maintain inventories and direct maintenance of all ski patrol equipment including uniforms radios toboggans signage pads and patrol facilities.
Assists in developing a strong EMS program providing CE hours documentation and certification for NR EMT Montana EMT CPR and NSP and OEC;
Inventories medical equipment and supplies;
Oversee mountain placement of medical gear and organization of the first aid room.
Maintains required Incident Report records.
Assists in the development of a season long skills improvement program as well as a strong mentoring program to create a highly skilled and motivated patrol team;
Assists patrol duties which include training and documentation of chairlift evacuations first aid sweeps toboggan handling communications and snowmobile use;

Navigate interpersonal conflict respectfully and efficiently.
Compiles and retains medical IIT and other incident records;
Regular communication with Ski Patrol and Snow Safety Managers;
Maintains employee records;
Assist with scheduling.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Experience/Education Required
High school diploma GED or vocational training or job-related course work required.
A minimum of four years of professional ski patrol experience at a class A or equivalent Ski Resort. A minimum of one to two years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Experience/Education Preferred
BA or BS from a 4 year accredited university

Valid State Drivers License NREMT MT State EMT ATF&E Employee Possessor
