New for this year this is an exciting opportunity to join our Digital Graduate Scheme designed to create the next generation of digital experts and to support the Thales UK digital transformation. Our global CortAIx initiative unites over 600 AI and data specialists dedicated to developing trusted operationally effective AI-powered systems for some of the most challenging and complex the UK CortAIx is accelerating this mission by fostering technology talent and research focused on ethical transparent and explainable AI. This programme presents a significant opportunity to work alongside our in-house experts whilst working towards a professional qualification in Applied AI Engineering.
Graduate Programme:
During this two-year programme you will be under the sponsorship and guidance of the CortAIx Leadership team where you will follow a structured and detailed learning pathway to fast track your development within your role.
Following your Induction you will be given the opportunity to enrol upon an Applied AI Engineering qualification with our external provider Corndel. Delivered in partnership with Imperial College London and supported by Microsoft this qualification will run throughout your graduate programme culminating with an End Point Assessment and a Level 6 Machine Learning Apprenticeship qualification. You will be given time each week to focus on your academic studies and for the rest of the time you will be working alongside our ML experts applying your academic learning into real-life projects and challenges.
Requirements:
You will have gained or be on track to achieve a bachelors degree in a STEM Subject in one of the following subject areas:
Computer Science
MathematicsBSc (Bachelor of Science)
PhysicsBSc (Bachelor of Science)
Applied Neuroscience BSc
Data Science BSc
All other digital degrees will be considered but please note that to be eligible you must not hold a degree qualification in either an AI or Machine Learning related discipline.
Please note that Graduate Development Programme (GDP) activities take place during the working week but may require the investment of some personal time for travel and follow-up activities. You may have the opportunity to travel to Thales and non-Thales sites throughout the UK when participating in GDP activities.

Please note assessment centres for shortlisted candidates will be held between February - May 2026. Induction week for all Graduate and Apprentices will take place from Monday 07 September - Friday 11 September 2026.
