About the role
As a Recoveries & Settlements Team Leader youll lead and develop a team of Consultants and a Technical Advisor responsible for managing insurance claims with accuracy empathy and commercial focus.
Youll play a key role in driving customer experience financial outcomes and team capability ensuring operational excellence and alignment with Suncorps Motor Claims Customers (MCC) strategy.
What youll do
- Lead coach and develop a high-performing team to deliver customer financial and operational results
- Translate strategy into clear goals and actions that your team can execute confidently
- Manage performance through regular feedback development planning and recognition
- Oversee accurate estimating recoveries liability decisions and settlements
- Leverage Motorvate to embed best-practice ways of working support productivity uplift and drive consistency across team performance routines
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability using data and insights to uplift outcomes
- Ensure opportunities are identified and raised for solutioning to deliver a seamless customer experience and reduce potential complaints
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure service excellence
What youll bring
- Proven leadership experience in insurance or financial services
- A genuine passion for coaching capability development and leading through change
- Effective communicator who builds trust across diverse teams and stakeholders
- An understanding of recoveries settlements and dispute resolution
- Ability to interpret data from tools like ClaimCenter Tableau and Verint
- Skilled in negotiation and conflict resolution to balance customer and commercial outcomes
