MS Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology

Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology is the global technology department responsible for the design development delivery and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) business. The department is comprised of 10 organizations: Sales Banking & Corporate-Client Technology Investment Products & Markets Technology Client Reporting Core Processing Private and International Wealth Management Technology Technology Integration Office Enterprise Infrastructure & Production Management Capital Markets Application & Data Services Deployment Planning & Release Management and the Chief Operating Office. Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) Technology works with large scale databases such as DB2 and SQL Server proprietary and non-proprietary messaging software a broad variety of vendor products numerous financial exchanges and regulatory entities and programming languages ranging and JAVA to Cobol MS SQL Server and .

What youll do in the role:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of integrated client and account onboarding solutions including a unified business layer to support multi-channel platform enhancements with a focus on client-centric onboarding and KYC transformation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including various PAGs to ensure technical solutions are aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to multiple squads within the Field Account Opening and Maintenance Workflows chapter.

  • Drive the development of innovative solutions for business enablement maintaining high standards of quality speed and accuracy.

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to develop alternative solutions and identify optimal approaches to problem-solving.

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across geographically dispersed teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in client onboarding contributing valuable insights and expertise to the team.

What youll bring to the role:

  • 10 years of experience in developing technological solutions within the financial services domain.

  • Proven expertise as a full-stack developer with a strong focus on Java/Spring and distributed technologies.

  • Experience with AI & Agentic solutions including Agent Discovery & Orchestration Frameworks for large-scale enterprise deployment.

  • Proficiency in OpenAI-powered personalization and automation.

  • Extensive knowledge of client acquisition/onboarding account opening processes and KYC/EDD procedures.

  • Rich experience in system design and development of complex applications.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage technical teams driving successful project outcomes.

  • Experience working with teams across geographic locations and managing competing priorities.

  • Familiarity with KAFKA MQ Migration Angular UI and AI-related technologies is a plus.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $120000 and $165000 per year at the commencement of employment. However base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package which depending on the position may also include commission earnings incentive compensation discretionary bonuses other short and long-term incentive packages and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
