Job Description
VTL Machinist / Vertical Turning Lathe Operator / CNC Machinist required to join a leading aftermarket engineering company based in Pearland TX.
VTL Machinist / Vertical Turning Lathe Operator / CNC Machinist will be responsible for performing a variety of precision machining operations including turning facing boring grooving threading and drilling while maintaining close tolerances on large and complex components. The role requires strong experience working on Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs) fluency with Fanuc Controls (or equivalent) and the ability to set up edit programs and troubleshoot during production runs.
VTL Machinist / Vertical Turning Lathe Operator / CNC Machinist will ideally have experience working to tight tolerances in a production environment with the ability to read and interpret blueprints G-Code and technical drawings while ensuring compliance with specifications and quality requirements.

Role
- Operate and monitor Vertical Turning Lathes with Fanuc Controls (or equivalent).
- Perform precision machining operations: turning facing boring grooving threading drilling to specification.
- Machine large-scale components including rotors casings and other critical parts.
- Set up machines make program edits adjust tooling and verify dimensions using precision measuring equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints work instructions and G-Code.
- Monitor machines adjust feeds/speeds and resolve machining issues to maintain quality.
- Work to tight tolerances on large-scale components.
- Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment.
- Uphold company safety policies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years previous VTL or large CNC machining experience (preferred).
- Proficient in reading and applying blueprints and G-Code.
- Skilled with precision measuring tools (micrometers calipers indicators).
- Ability to set up adjust tooling and make minor program edits independently.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
