Job Summary
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Instruct K-5 students in small group settings to assist with listening speaking reading writing and general academic contentConference and collaborate regularly with classroom teachers administrators and the other ELL teachers regarding effective instruction and policyAdminister and coordinate state mandated testing (e.g. ACCESS) and initial student placement tests (e.g. W-APT IPT) for districtMaintain student files with appropriate documentsHave familiarity with RETELL WIDA and ACCESSAttend professional development in the area of ELLCommunicate regularly with families in a culturally sensitive wayPerform other duties as directed by the PrincipalsSubstitute Handbook
