Job Summary

The Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist will oversee all A/R collections activities across multiple FEINs. This includes monitoring receivables running aging reports following up on collections and conducting audits. The role requires a strong understanding of Medicaid NAMI and private pay billing along with excellent organizational and communication skills.

The ideal candidate is proactive analytical and capable of handling multiple projects and payer types while meeting month-end close deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage accounts receivable collections for multiple skilled nursing facilities.
Monitor receivables and aging reports ensuring timely collections.
Follow up on facility collections activities and resolve outstanding balances.
Conduct audits and ensure accuracy of billing and payment data.
Collaborate with facility business office managers to address issues and track progress.
Identify and escalate problematic accounts as needed.
Maintain organized documentation and ensure compliance with policies.

Qualifications:

Minimum 35 years of experience in Healthcare Accounts Receivable Collections.
Experience with Medicaid NAMI Medicaid Pending and Private Collections required.
Strong understanding of healthcare billing systems and processes.
Experience with resident trust management and common working files.
Excellent communication organizational and analytical skills.
Proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with management and staff.
Prior experience in a nursing home or skilled nursing A/R environment required.
Experience as a Business Office Manager preferred.
