The Office of Sustainability invites applications for a temporaryCoordinator Sustainability position which will be responsible for support and engagement within the area of energy conservation and sustainability.

The incumbent will support the Manager Sustainability in the coordination of project and program development delivery and monitoring.

The Coordinator will be engaged in the day-to-day activities related to planning designing and implementing UFVs energy management and sustainability projects and programs with an emphasis on engagement.

The Coodinator:

  • Coordinates campus sustainability programs to ensure University classrooms offices labs kitchens housing facilities and events are sustainable.
  • Supports the development implementation monitoring and reporting of sustainability programs.
  • Promotes campus sustainability.
  • Provides leadership to Student Sustainability Coordinators Work-Study students staff and contractors in the coordination of sustainability and energy-efficiency projects and programs.
  • Leads with trust and respect in the pursuit of the overall goals and strategic objectives of the Campus Planning and Facilities Management Team.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor in Sustainability or Environmental Science; or an equivalent combination of education training and experience in sustainability change management and/or energy efficiency.
  • Maintains currency in professional organizations by attending relevant PD activities and sustainability-related courses.
  • Three or more years of related experience in sustainability program development and coordination at post-secondary institutes or within the public sector.
