Job Description

  • Plan and operate the Division ll intercollegiate football program at Winona State University within the guidelines policies rules and regulations of the University NCAA and NSIC.
  • Manage the programs recruitment efforts including attendance at high school/club events evaluation of prospective student-athletes and generation of applications to the University.
  • Identify and facilitate academic support for the success of all student-athletes.
  • Retain and graduate successful student-athletes for the football program.
  • Successfully manage all aspects of football program budget.
  • Promote and support Winona State University and the Athletic Departments program mission and goals.
  • Represent Winona State University and the Athletic Department in a positive manner with a high degree of integrity and quality.
  • Foster interest in Winona State University with all high school students and school personnel while recruiting for WSU and the football program.
  • Instruct university courses in varied locations at varied times and via various media commensurate with department and university needs.
  • Engage in research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field.
  • Provide evidence of continuing professional development to enhance coaching abilities.
  • Contribute to student growth and development.
  • Provide service to the university and community including the program the department the college the university and the greater community.
  • Support Winona State Universitys mission to enhance the intellectual social cultural and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve.
  • Other duties as assigned in the Athletic Department as needed.

Salary Range:

$64066 - $186015; Commensurate with Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Masters degree plus a minimum of four (4) years coaching experience OR a bachelors plus a minimum of eight (8) years of coaching experience
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.

Preferred Qualification

  • Head coaching experience.
  • Collegiate level coaching experience at a four-year institution.
  • Knowledge of NCAA and NSIC rules and regulations.
