ENL Teacher

Rochester Academy Charter School (RACS) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the ENL Teachingposition in our High School building. This is an immediate openingand it is a full-timecontractposition.

Responsiblities include

• Preparing students for the NYSESLAT test in May
• Caseload includesrequire support with reading writing grammar and vocabulary- a foundational reading curriculum is available for this purpose
• Acting as case manager for students- communicating with students teachers and families
• Ability to work independently and with others
• Careful planning for individual students in a co-teaching setting
• Genuine care for urban students

Requirements

Ideal candidates will possess New York State certification in ENL. The successful candidate would join an experienced ENL teacher to take on a partial caseload. Additional class duties will be assigned to complete a full time schedule.

Candidates with out-of-state certification will be considered. Experience is preferred but not required. Candidates must possess a Bachelors Degree in Education or have completed a teacher certification program. We welcome candidates who are completing a degree and will become certified at a later date.
