This is an important position within Emersons Pervasive Sensing organization one of the leading IIoT solutions providers to the process automation industry. This position will be responsible for designing developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies for our this position you will work with a wide range of technologies including wireless sensing wireless communication networking web development and product hardware developed for industrial cloud and on-premises deployments. This position will work to ensure that Emersons products are securely developed and delivered.
This role provides an opportunity for career growth within the exciting space of cybersecurity where you will work on challenging and interesting projects to facilitate our clients needs and protect them from threats.
In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Design and develop secure solutions with our product engineers
Work with cross-functional teams to maintain security of our existing products
Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability testing to identify potential security weaknesses
Provide technical analysis of product assessments and articulate impact to end users
Monitor essential cybersecurity product development processes
Support technical cybersecurity certification activities
Perform and support security scans fuzz and penetration testing on products
Lead threat modeling activities for products
Develop prototypes to determine feasibility and risks of various security solutions
Keep up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies as well as relevant industry specifications standards and frameworks

For This Role You Will Need:
Degree in Computer Science Engineering or related degree from an engineering school
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a software developer systems engineer technical architect or other related roles
Familiarity with Web Applications and related technologies
Experience in or a desire to learn about cybersecurity
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices including knowledge of relevant industry specifications standards and frameworks
Experience in threat modeling risk assessment and vulnerability testing
Familiarity with programming languages such as Java C or Python
Knowledge of Linux operating systems and applications
Familiarity with cybersecurity regulations and standards such as IEC ISO NIST and GDPR
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Strong understanding of network infrastructure design and deployment
Experience with network security monitoring and incident response
