Production and Electronic Recycling Manager Department:Production Status: Full-time- Eligible for Commissions Who We Are At Sertoma Star Services were on a mission to empower individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and those living with mental illness to reach their goals and lead fulfilling lives. Your Role This position is responsible for providing oversight and management of the production and ecosafe programs to ensure consumers can work and earn members in this role also earn commissions for business growth and production achievements.
Responsibilities
Production - Organizes and manages the production process including creating work bids maintaining accurate inventory of work coming in and going out developing production schedules and developing production goals.
- Provides supervision and support to the Production Specialist to ensure all work is completed in a timely manner based on deadlines and that training is completed when work is not available.
- Develops and maintains relationships with community businesses to increase the amount of production work that is available.
- Develops and maintains quality control procedures to ensure all work is completed according to work specifications and consumers are paid for the work they complete.
- Ensures that Department of Labor (DOL) compliance is upheld by completing time studies and maintaining work procedures that support DOL regulations.
EcoSafe - Ensures electronics recycling services are provided in a manner that complies with R2/RIOS standards.
- Oversees state use contracts and ensures that all contract requirements are met and bids are completed for updated contracts as scheduled.
- Maintains effective communication with commodities brokers to conduct sale price negotiations and coordinates product delivery logistics.
Overall - Works closely with the Development team to create a marketing plan to increase production and EcoSafe opportunities.
- Works closely with finance to ensure all contract invoices are completed and paid.
- Oversees warehouse and delivery operations to ensure that procurement and distribution are operated in a safe efficient and organized manner.
- Works with the VP to ensure sound fiscal practices are followed including: assisting with the development of program budgets operating programs in way that meets revenue goals and routinely monitoring program expenses to ensure compliance with program budgets.
Qualifications - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective Sales Skills
- Organizational and Time Management skills
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office- Word Excel and Outlook)
- At least two years of industrial/production experience required
- Experience with workforce that includes people with disabilities preferred
