DescriptionOracle is seeking a skilled and proactive NOC Manager to design build and operate a world-class Network Operations Center (NOC) supporting our expanding data center portfolio. This individual will lead the development of NOC processes tools and teams to ensure operational excellence rapid incident response and high system reliability across our mission-critical environments.
ResponsibilitiesOperations & Incident Management
- Oversee daily NOC operations including the monitoring tools alerting systems ticketing workflows and response processes that support 24x7 coverage across all data center facilities and critical infrastructure.
- Lead the full incident management lifecycle detection triage escalation communication resolution and post-incident review ensuring consistent standards and timely execution.
- Coordinate closely with data center engineers network teams and facility operations to drive rapid response and issue resolution following defined escalation thresholds and response-time expectations.
Team Leadership & Development
- Build and mentor a high-performing NOC team by developing training materials certification paths and onboarding programs covering operational best practices tools and procedures.
- Develop and manage shift schedules including 24x7 coverage on-call rotations and vendor or contractor resource alignment.
- Foster a culture of accountability performance excellence and proactive problem-solving supported by clearly defined KPIs and behavioral expectations.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Define and maintain key performance metrics and dashboards using standard platforms such as Grafana Splunk or ServiceNow to track NOC effectiveness system availability and incident trends.
- Deliver recurring operational health reports including weekly and monthly incident metrics SLA performance and improvement initiatives to senior leadership and stakeholder teams.
- Partner with IT facilities and security teams to refine monitoring practices through improved alert tuning automation opportunities and optimized workflows that enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in incident management program management or similar roles in data center or mission-critical environments; equivalent military or high-reliability operational experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated experience supporting data center infrastructure incidents with working knowledge of BMS EPMS power distribution cooling systems and HVAC operations including hands-on troubleshooting when necessary.
- Hands-on experience conducting root cause analyses (RCA) using standard methodologies (e.g. 5 Whys Fishbone Kepner-Tregoe) developing corrective action plans and implementing automation to improve operational workflows.
- Strong understanding of data center architecture spanning networks compute power systems environmental controls and security protocols; relevant certifications such as CDCP CDCS or ITIL are preferred.
- Exceptional problem-solving analytical and documentation skills with high attention to detail using platforms such as Confluence and ServiceNow.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities including stakeholder updates and customer-facing incident communication when required.
- Proven ability to perform under pressure manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions in time-sensitive situations including participation in escalation or on-call rotations.
