We are looking for a proactive innovative Non-Financial Risk Specialist to join our Non-Financial Risk tribe and the Portfolio Monitoring and Reporting (PMR) team. If you are ready to bring your unique perspective to ING NL and help shape the future of risk management then this is the role for you!
The team
This diverse team of seven blends 5 data analysts and 2 NFR risk specialists working together to deliver key NFR analyses and reports that drive our mission forward. Together with the other NFR specialist you will play a central part in coordinating and performing NFR tasks overarching the full NFR NL tribe.
As part of team PMR you will be at the heart of monitoring the NFR NL Risk portfolio and meaningful reportingthink NFR dashboards NFR committees and big-picture risk reviews for ING NL. You will operate as a 2nd Line of Defence risk specialist collaborating closely with Operational and IT Risk professionals the Operational Design Control Resilience (ODCR) team Group Risk and global Risk Hubs. Together we keep ING NL ahead of the curve in risk management.
Roles and responsibilities
Coordinating NFR activities executed within tribe NFR NL in close collaboration with ODCR to ensure frictionless collaboration and aggregation of results into timely and impactful reporting.
Assessing monitoring and reporting on entity-wide (NL) risk assessments making sure ING NL stays within risk appetite and risks are managed and get escalated when needed.
Being our expert on the NFR framework.
Being our expert on Risk Identification and Assessments (RIA).
Planning and coordinating the Second Line Monitoring plan including deep dives.
Monitoring progress of 1st line of defence on their monitoring plan (FLM).
Support preparation of the NFR Committee (NFRC) NL reviewing NFR submissions to ensure quality managing stakeholders and deadlines.
Being the NL Portfolio Risk Manager for Change Initiatives.
Coordinate the horizon scanning process to ensure timely identification of emerging risks.
Promoting good Risk Culture and Awareness.

We are looking for a team member with the following knowledge and experience.
You have hands-on experience in the world of Non-Financial Risk (i.e. Operational Risk Management) assessing risks identifying issues and advising on mitigation.
You have got a solid grip on at least one Non-Financial Risk domain and are not afraid to dive into policies and designing processes to get better in control.
You have oversight and can take a helicopter view of all NFR activities of the department and how that aggregates into effective reporting.
Stakeholder management is your jamyou easily connect business teams risk experts and leadership making things happen across the board.
Clear communication is your superpower and you proactively align and manage expectations to get things done.
You take ownership stick to deadlines and get everyone necessary on board for the ride.
Your writing and reporting skills are on point and you are not shy about giving constructive feedback to make sure our reports are top-tier.
You are naturally curious always pushing for smarter more effective risk management practices and drive innovation.
We love your adaptable solutions-focused attitudeyou are all about rolling up your sleeves and making things work frictionless.
English You are fluent and bonus points if you have some Dutch in your toolkit.
You have completed a university degree or equivalent and you have got 5 years of Non Financial Risk experience under your belt.
