Job Summary

Salary Range:

  • Base Salary: From $80171.00 (Grade 12 Step 1) per annum
  • Plus: 12% superannuation
  • Total Package: $89791.52

The successful candidate will have access to step increases for the grade based on competency assessment and tenure within this position.

The Opportunity

Strathfield Council is seeking a motivated Business Support Officer to join our Planning & Place this role youll provide high-quality administrative support and be the first point of contact for planning related enquiries from residents. Youll help coordinate meetings process development applications and maintain accurate records using systems like CM10 and Authority.

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate III in Business Administration or higher and/or relevant work experience in a similar environment.
  • Good communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills relevant to the position with experience providing quality customer service.
  • Good time management planning and organisational skills.
  • Good literacy numeracy and keyboard skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and draft replies to correspondence reports and other such documentation with regular direction.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite (Word Excel and PowerPoint)

Desirable

  • Ability to effectively operate Councils computer systems including Authority and CM10.
  • Knowledge and experience within Local Government and the Planning Industry.
