Job Summary

Your role at St John of God Health Care

We are seeking a dynamic leader to oversee Organisation Development and Business Partnering across our hospitals services and corporate functions.

In this pivotal role you will shape the people and culture strategies that enable organisation to deliver exceptional care. You will provide strategic leadership in organisational development talent learning HR business partnering and cultural transformation ensuring these services are aligned with our Mission Values and long-term organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Workforce Business Partnering function ensuring strong alignment between workforce strategies and SJGHCs organisational priorities.

  • Partner with executives and senior leaders to deliver integrated people solutions to complex business challenges.

  • Drive organisational development initiatives including team effectiveness culture programs change management and leadership development.

  • Strengthen our talent development frameworks ensuring all caregivers have access to meaningful professional and personal development opportunities.

  • Provide strong values-based leadership that fosters a positive inclusive and high-performance culture.

  • Oversee the design delivery and evaluation of learning programs that build capability for current and future workforce needs.

  • Build and maintain external partnerships that enhance SJGHCs reputation as an employer of choice.

  • Support strategic planning and organisational priorities through workforce insights.

  • Identify talent gaps and drive development initiatives that strengthen organisational capability.

  • Provide expert advice on employee relations matters.

  • Oversee talent management processes - including performance and succession.

  • Develop and implement HR policies and leadership capability programs.

  • Coach and mentor leaders to support high performance and continuous improvement.

  • Shape the strategic direction for capability development across clinical and non-clinical teams.

  • Support the creation of clinical learning pathways and aligned development frameworks.

To be successful in this role you will be an influential people leader with extensive experience in HR organisational development or workforce leadership within complex environments.

You have a proven ability to drive culture capability and organisational effectiveness initiatives while building trusted relationships and collaborating effectively with senior leaders. Skilled in coaching stakeholder engagement and delivering practical evidence-based solutions you thrive in dynamic settings leading teams through change and fostering a positive inclusive and high-performing culture.
