The Boeing CompanyBoeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Senior Supply Chain Specialist to join our team in Scott AFB IL.
This is a customer liaison position located in the Air Force Sustainment Center 635th Supply Chain Operations Group Scott AFB Illinois. Duties of the position include determining current and future spare requirements by analyzing stock balance past consumption rates and reliability and maintainability information. It will be required to work with product Asset Managers in monitoring and assessing level setting. Also you will be required to access the USAF Supply System via Integrated Logistics System-Supply (ILS-S) FLITES BLADE.
In this role you will review customer requisitions for accuracy and coordinate estimated delivery dates and follow-up with Asset Managers on overdue deliveries monitor planned and scheduled material requirements to optimize the use of available program funds and maintain a professional rapport with customers and co-workers. This position also requires application of inventory management principles at the retail and wholesale levels concepts and methodologies to effectively determine and manage items customer requirements and overall knowledge of the USAF Supply System. SECRET Security Clearance required for position.
Position Responsibilities:
Analyzes postproduction supply chain data to define reorder points and quantities and coordinates for economy of purchases
Analyzes material location and initiates redistribution action
Analyzes supplier and/or customer data regarding products or services to include repair capabilities capacity and performs assessment of configuration change impact to supply support system
Reviews applicability of warranties to allocate costs
Identifies and resolves customer supply chain management issues and discrepancies
Identifies Supply Chain alternatives to resolve obsolescence issues
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Experience working with USAF supply chain customers
5 years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook PowerPoint Access Excel and Word
5 years of experience in a customer service role
5 years of experience with Integrated Logistics Systems-Supply (ILS-S)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience
