Commuter Connector

Position Overview:
The Commuter Connector position is a paid position with commuter programming in the Center for Student Engagement. The position assists with Commuter events and programs. Students also serve as a resource for peer Commuter students and communicate with students in a regular cadence so they are aware of upcoming events and programs at the University. Commuter Connectors also promote other University-wide events to help increase student engagement.

Essential Duties:
  • Works with the Center for Student Engagement staff to coordinate plan and execute bi-monthly commuter events.
  • Promotes commuter events on campus.
  • Serves as a resource for a cohort of commuter students.
  • Communicates with mentee cohort and provides relational academic and engagement support to their peers.
  • Provides opportunities for students to meet on a one-on-one basis.
Work Experience:
  • Must be a commuter student.
  • Prior leadership experience is preferred.
To be eligible to be a CSP student employee one must:
  • Be enrolled and registered as a CSP student (PSEO students are not eligible).
  • Have a United States social security number.*
  • Haveproper identificationas determined by Form I-9.
  • Be in good standing with CSP academic requirements and student accounts.
  • Must have declared a major at CSP.
  • For summer employment priority will be given to the student employees who are enrolled and registered in summer courses.
