- Teach and supervise nursing students in classroom and clinical settings focusing on obstetrics
- Collaborate with faculty to develop administer and grade course materials and examinations
- Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate records of attendance grades and clinical skills
- Participate in curriculum development quality improvement initiatives and program assessment
- Orient and mentor new faculty members in both theory and clinical instruction
- Utilize adult learning principles and integrate technology in teaching methods
- Maintain current knowledge of nursing practices technologies and safety regulations in obstetrics
- Participate in faculty meetings committee activities and student advising
- Ensure clinical assignments meet both student learning objectives and facility requirements
- Submit required reports and forms to the program director in a timely manner
- Maintain professional development and contribute to the nursing programs mission and goals
Qualifications :
- Hold a valid active license issued by the State Board of Registered Nursing
- Master of Nursing or higher degree from an accredited college or university that includes course work in nursing or education administration. OB Pediatrics or Psychiatry
- At least four years experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care
- A year of Clinical experience within the last five years (Clinical teaching applies toward direct patient care). Clinically competent as defined in CCR Section 1420(c)
- Expertise in one of the following areas of nursing Psychiatric Geriatrics Med/Surg Pediatrics or OB-Gyn
