Job Summary
**Job Title: Laser Set-Up Operator**
**Job Description:**
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Set-Up Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a technical mindset and a strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings schematics and production plans. Your primary responsibility will be to set up and operate laser machines to cut drill or modify materials according to precise specifications.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Prepare and configure laser machines prior to operation including loading materials setting parameters and testing controls.
- Interpret and work from blueprints technical drawings and CAD files to ensure accurate production.
- Monitor machine operations to detect any issues during the cutting process and perform adjustments as needed.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and achieve high-quality outputs.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment by following company safety protocols and procedures.
- Document production activities and maintain accurate records for quality assurance and reporting purposes.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant experience preferred.
- Proven experience operating laser cutting machines or similar equipment in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of laser technology and fiber-optic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail for high-precision tasks.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a manufacturing environment.
