Location: Plymouth Indiana
Job Summary:
The Slitter Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining slitting machines to accurately cut large rolls of material into specified sizes. This role requires attention to detail mechanical aptitude and a commitment to maintaining high-quality production standards.
Day-to-Day Duties:
- Operate slitting machines to cut materials to specified widths and sizes.
- Conduct regular inspections on materials and final products to ensure quality control.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments for optimal results.
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of slitting equipment.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment following all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the production team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 1 to 5 years of experience as a machine operator preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as schematics and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing quality work consistently.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting.
- Physical capability to lift heavy materials and handle equipment as required.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience operating slitting machines or similar machinery.
- Knowledge of production processes and related safety practices.
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
