Job Title: Glass Estimator

About Our Client:
Our client is a leading name in the commercial glass industry with decades of experience delivering high-quality projects. They specialize in engineering fabricating and installing entrance doors storefronts curtain walls vestibules glass railings and shower doors. Known for their commitment to customer satisfaction innovation and quality craftsmanship they continue to expand their operations and are seeking a talented Glass Estimator to join their team.

Position Overview:
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Glass Estimator with strong knowledge of doors hardware and storefront systemsthe core of their business. The ideal candidate will be proficient with GDS AutoCAD and other software used to design and estimate doors storefronts and curtain walls. Experience with Oldcastle products is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze architectural drawings blueprints and specifications to understand project scope and requirements.
Calculate quantities for glass framing doors hardware sealants and other materials accurately.
Prepare detailed estimates for materials labor equipment and overhead costs.
Conduct site visits to evaluate conditions measurements and potential challenges.
Develop comprehensive bid proposals including scope of work pricing schedule and terms.
Collaborate with project managers architects engineers and clients to clarify requirements.
Communicate professionally with clients throughout the estimation process.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Keep organized records of estimates bids contracts change orders and project correspondence.

Qualifications & Experience:

Previous experience as a glass estimator or in a similar role within commercial construction preferably focused on doors hardware and storefronts.
Proficiency in GDS AutoCAD and other estimating/design software used for doors storefronts and curtain walls.
Strong analytical skills to interpret drawings and prepare accurate estimates.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients vendors and internal teams.
Experience with Oldcastle products is highly preferred.
