Estimator / Senior Estimator
Location: Sacramento CA
Compensation: $100000 to $145000 DOE

A well established general contractor in the Sacramento area is seeking an Estimator or Senior Estimator to support public works and commercial construction projects. This role focuses on hard bid work for new construction and renovation projects.

Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for public works and commercial projects
Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications
Solicit analyze and level subcontractor and supplier bids
Evaluate plans for scope gaps constructability and risk
Assist with bid strategy and value engineering opportunities
Collaborate with project managers and operations teams during preconstruction
Maintain accurate bid documentation and cost histories
Participate in bid reviews and post bid interviews when required

Qualifications:

Experience estimating public works and commercial construction projects
Strong background in hard bid environments
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Knowledge of local subcontractor markets and pricing
Proficiency with estimating software and Excel
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Senior Estimator candidates should have experience leading bids independently

Compensation and Benefits:
