Job Summary
Project the aim youll have
Our client is specializing in providing real time standardized accounting data to help power business processes. Our award-winning smart data pipe extracts standardizes and analyses small business accounting data via robust APIs putting it directly in the hands of those that need it so they can do their jobs faster and smarter.
Position how youll contribute
- Act as the bridge between business and technology datasharing and APIdriven platform ensuring requirements are clear actionable and aligned with client and regulatory needs.
- Translate complex dataexchange scenarios into user stories with precise acceptance criteria maintaining a wellprioritized backlog.
- Collaborate with Product Owners Engineering and Architecture to refine stories around API estate roles & permissions and secure data flows.
- Document and validate API specifications (OpenAPI/Swagger) interface contracts and integration patterns that underpin connectivity with accounting platforms and financial institutions.
- Support UAT and trace requirements through build and test ensuring delivery meets compliance and business value.
- Facilitate workshops with internal teams and external stakeholders to clarify scope dependencies and success metrics.
Qualifications :
Expectations the experience you need
- 35 years as a Business Analyst or Product Owner on datafocused platforms ideally in fintech SaaS or APIintegration environments.
- Proven ability to create and refine user stories and manage backlog ceremonies in Agile/Scrum teams (Jira).
- Handson experience with API design and consumption: request/response modelling versioning and nonfunctional considerations (security scalability resilience).
- Familiarity with roles & permissions frameworks (RBAC/ABAC) OAuth2/OIDC and secure dataexchange principles.
- Strong understanding of data fundamentals: data mapping validation and practical SQL for troubleshooting and analysis.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement requirements elicitation and documentation using Confluence.
Additional skills the edge you have
- Experience in financial data integration accounting platform connectivity or API ecosystems.
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards relevant to financial data (GDPR SOC ISO).
- Familiarity with eventdriven architectures webhooks and integration styles beyond REST.
- Tooling proficiency: Postman Swagger/OpenAPI JSON/XML and diagramming tools.
- Ability to design acceptance test scenarios and collaborate closely with QA for coverage and traceability.
- Certifications are a plus but practical experience is key.
