We are looking for a Research Analyst to join Wood Mackenzies Power & Renewables team in China. Responsibilities will include conducting original quantitative and qualitative research on the market and delivering this analysis to clients through written reports presentations public speaking addressing specific customer enquiries and through the delivery of bespoke consulting engagements. You will help with expanding our regional power and renewable research using analytical or quantitative tools. You will aggregate and summarise project level datasets track market activity and forecast installation volumes and pricing trends. You will build strong ties with key industry stakeholders and engage with clients and prospects in collaboration with our sales team. You will collaborate with other Wood Mackenzie analysts covering power markets and renewable technologies and commodities in the region to ensure our analysis is robust integrated and thought-provoking.
Knowledge Skills and Experience
You have experience working in wind renewables or power markets industry for 2-3 years.
You are passionate about renewable energy and come with strong knowledge of the sector and markets in China.
You have an analytical mindset and an eye for detail and you can think outside the box and generate new ideas.
You are comfortable working with common Excel functions and query languages.
You have strong networking skills and can show that you can develop relationships with key industry stakeholders.
You can communicate new ideas and concepts to audiences in an engaging way both verbally and in writing.
You are a strong team player and a natural self-starter who can work independently.
You are comfortable disrupting your routine as you will constantly be looking to learn and provide in-depth analysis of industry trends and innovative market dynamics.
