Flowserve is looking for a Subject Manager Expert for Automation to support our Automation & Control Valve business unit.
The Commercial Operation SME is the authority in regards to automation. As such he/she is the go-to person for sales and Commercial operation when it gets to specifying both pneumatic and electric actuators. The SME will collaborate globally with cross-functional teams including Commercial Operations Sales Engineering & Product Management to help increase bookings revenue and profitability.
Your tasks:
- Main role is to expand our presence and bookings in the automation market.
- Works with the commercial operation teams to define application guidelines to offer the best technical and commercial solution to given applications.
- Works with product management and engineering to help develop or customize products that meet market requirements including requested certification
- Works with sales to enlist Flowserve pneumatic and electric actuators on vendors list
- Develop insights and recommendations related to market-level-prices
- Develop insights and recommendations related to service requirements
- Understand competition and how to differentiate our solution in the automation market
- Develop training material to improve overall knowledge of various functions specific to the mining market
Your profile:
- Deep product service and solution expertise across the automation portfolio acquired through education or experience
- Minimum 10 years experience in commercial operations sales operations or related roles
- Ability to interact globally and interface effectively across regions and functions
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a high sense of urgency with a Customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to produce professional reports and presentations
- Think outside of the box and be creative to provide solution
- Travel requirements globally over 50%
