Position Duties/Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for functions related to teaching advising research service and recruiting. The Assistant Professor of Political Science will teach 12 credit hours of undergraduate courses per semester in a physical classroom hold face to face office hours (10 hours per week) attend departmental and university meetings attend commencements and be the primary advisor for undergraduate students majoring in Political Science. The Assistant Professor of Political Science will work closely with the Department Head of History and Political Science in submitting Political Science assessment data every academic year. Opportunities also exist to develop new courses aligned with the candidates expertise and departmental needs.
Required/Preferred Qualifications
Required: Ph.D. or ABD in Political Science.
Preferred: Completed Ph.D.; Both online and in-person college teaching experience. While all areas of political science will be considered preference may be given to applicants with expertise in American politics or comparative politics.
