Manager of Facilities

The Manager of Facilitiesensures the operational integrity and long-term functionality of CAVAsrestaurant locations within a defined region. This role leads all aspects ofrepair and maintenance vendor performance project execution and emergencyresponse for both new and existing restaurants. Acting as a strategic partnerto Operations and Development the MAnager of Facilities proactively overseesday-to-day service requests long-term Capex planning and preventativemaintenance while supporting the team in delivering safe fully functionalspaces that meet CAVAs standards. This individual plays a key role inbalancing operational needs vendor management and budget management to driverestaurant performance and guest satisfaction experience.

What Youll Do:

  • Leads all aspects of facilities operationswithin an assigned region - including repair maintenance projects and vendorcoordination - to ensure safe efficient and uninterrupted restaurantoperations.
  • Serves as the primary liaison betweenOperations and external vendors to triage troubleshoot and resolvemaintenance requests through the ServiceChannel platform managing a highvolume of work orders with urgency and accuracy.
  • Manages vendor relationships servicecontracts and waste/recycling programs to ensure accountability performanceconsistency and alignment with CAVAs operational standards and financialgoals.
  • Oversees proposal and invoice workflows - reviewingwork scopes validating pricing and ensuring completion to standard beforeauthorizing payment - while maintaining accurate documentation for complianceand recordkeeping.
  • Develops manages and forecasts regionalfacilities budgets analyzing spend trends tracking vendor performance andpartnering with Accounting and Finance to control costs and maintain accurateaccruals.
  • Implements proactive preventativemaintenance programs that extend equipment life reduce downtime and improverestaurant reliability and asset performance.
  • Ensures compliance with safetyenvironmental and operational standards through regular inspectionsdocumentation and vendor adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Conducts regular site visits and targetedinspections to assess restaurant conditions identify risks or deficienciesand partner with Operations on solutions that enhance functionality and guestexperience.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally withOperations Construction and Development to support new openings capitalprojects punch/turnover walks and warranty resolution to ensure seamlesshandoffs and operational readiness.
  • Leads emergency response for criticalequipment failures or safety hazards coordinating rapid vendor deployment andclear communication to minimize operational disruption.
  • Analyzes facility data vendor KPIs andperformance metrics to identify trends inform decisions and recommend processimprovements for long-term asset optimization.
  • Participates in recurring team meetings andcross-functional updates to communicate project status escalate issues andalign on short- and long-term facilities priorities.
  • Coaches and supports Facilities Specialistsby providing leadership oversight and opportunities for professional growthfostering a culture of accountability and proactive facility ownership.

The Qualifications:

Education & Experience
  • 3 years of experience managing facilities operations in a multi-unit environment preferably within restaurant hospitality or retail sectors.
  • Proven success managing a high volume of service requests vendor relationships and project timelines while maintaining service quality and cost control.
  • Strong working knowledge of building systems maintenance practices and facilities operations with the ability to assess scope and prioritize repairs independently.
  • Experience using ServiceChannel or similar CMMS systems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and influence across internal teams and external partners.
  • Adept at managing competing priorities in a dynamic field-based role including travel up to 40% of the time and responding to urgent needs after hours.

Physical Requirements:

Ability tomaintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other officeequipment

Must be able toidentify analyze and assess details

For certainpositions must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds

Ability tocommunicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively

Constantlypositions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food productionsupport or office operations as applicable

Ability to workin a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
