Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department

As a Registered Nurse (RN) Acute Care at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital youll play a vital role in providing expert nursing care assessing patient conditions and working closely with interdisciplinary teams to drive positive health outcomes.
What Youll Do:
- Deliver compassionate patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced acute care environment.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Administer medications IV therapies and treatments with precision and adherence to clinical best practices.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions treatment plans and self-care strategies to support recovery.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs and unlicensed assistive personnel ensuring safe and effective care delivery.
- Advocate for patients by fostering open communication addressing concerns and ensuring a positive healthcare experience.

Qualifications
Who Were Looking For:
A compassionate detail-oriented nurse who thrives in a dynamic healthcare environment and is committed to providing excellent patient care.
Education Licensures & Certifications
- Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required
- BSN preferred
- Licensed RN in Illinois
- CPR certification required or must be completed during onboarding
Experience
- New graduates and experienced RNs welcome
- 2-3 years of acute care experience preferred
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care while adhering to hospital policies safety standards and best practices.
- Monitor patient progress adjust treatment plans as needed and document all care provided.
- Collaborate with physicians therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Assist with training mentoring and onboarding new nurses and students.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and care efficiency.
- Maintain compliance with infection control protocols safety regulations and regulatory standards.
