Position Description: The Medical College of Wisconsins Department of Surgeryis seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide primary or specialty medical care within defined scope of practice under the supervision of a licensed physician and in accordance with MCW/FMLH/CHW policies and procedures. The APP will have a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and ensure an environment of safe quality care. Position Requirements: Minimum Education: Advanced Practice Nurse:Masters Degree or higher in Nursing Minimum Requirements:*or eligible Advanced Practice Nurse Physician Assistant AHA BCLS AHA ACLS DEA ATLS (will train) and CITI Certification to be completed within 90 days of hire.
Physician Assistant:Bachelors Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies
Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner Wisconsin Physician Assistant License
Wisconsin RN License Certification by NCCPA
Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License
Acute Care Certification
Preferred Experience:
Previous APP acute care experience preferred
