Boston University Academy is seeking a full-time history teacher to begin in July 2026as a one-year leave replacement. Primary responsibilities include teaching three to foursections of history. Course placements are still being developed for next year and wehave some flexibility to tailor the teaching load to the strengths and interests of thecandidate. The teacher will join a five-person department committed todiscussion-based classes intensive primary source work interdisciplinary connectionsand a focus on analytical writing. BUA faculty are also involved outside the classroom ina variety of ways including advising chaperoning trips and events and leadingextracurricular activities.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of teaching experience an advanceddegree in history or a related field a student-centered approach deep and diversehistorical interests and a passion for working with high school students. For all
