Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Safe Business Officer (SBO) at ING Netherlands youll be a trusted advisor and expert in non-financial risk (NFR). Youll help the business identify assess and manage risks ensuring operations remain compliant resilient and trustworthy.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement NFR policies within the ATV investment services domain.
• Provide proactive risk and compliance advice to management.
• Coordinate audits reviews and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with central departments and key stakeholders.
• Monitor trends in customer behavior processes and regulations.
• Promote a strong risk culture across the organization.
• Support our advisors with your knowledge and experience

You Bring

• A high degree of independence and ownership.
• Strong analytical skills to identify dilemmas and balance priorities.
• Strong communications skills in both Dutch and English.
• A clear understanding of risk appetite and stakeholder expectations.

Youll work closely with teams across the Tribe as well as with second-line (ORM Compliance) and third-line (CAS) functions.

Your Day-to-Day Includes

• Acting as the primary contact for non-financial risk topics.
• Setting and managing the annual control agenda.
• Executing first-line risk management activities.
• Providing expertise on frameworks such as TIPM Operational Resilience PARP Complaints NFR Framework and PBRAs.
• Driving a consistent and effective risk management approach.
• Advising internal stakeholders and maintaining strong relationships with second-line functions.
• Serving as a Risk Culture Ambassador.
