What Youll Be Doing

The Senior Consultant Application Development is responsible for leading the functional design and development of application systems across all technologies and platforms. The role provides consultation for senior management on a wide spectrum of existing and emerging infrastructure technologies translating user requirements to process and data requirements and developing solutions for the business with far-reaching impact. The Senior Consultant Application Development provides technical leadership to develop precise steps and processing logic across all platforms ensuring the designed specifications achieve business addition the role provides comprehensive senior level technical consulting to other IT senior management and senior technical teams. The role makes technology selection decisions that are often made in situations where business requirements are not completely defined.

How Youll Succeed

• Strategic Development & Execution:Perform and coordinate complex solution design activities. Understand the business requirements and translate them into system and application design that is aligned with our technology and document the technical functionality infrastructure interfaces and integrations. Lead the design of cost-effective and innovative solutions to meet both business objectives and the goal of operational efficiency.

• Strategy and Roadmap:Contribute to technology roadmaps that are aligned with the banks vision strategy and business objectives. Lead multiple complex technology solutions while maintaining consistency across the platform adopting best practices and pushing forward continuous improvements

• Stakeholder Management:Act as thesolutionlead and interface with the project teams by driving and moderating design review sessions to walk stakeholders through and ensure that the overall design aligns with business requirements as well as architectural directions. Support and mentor junior designers and developers through knowledge sharing collaboration and effective problem solving

Who You Are

• You can demonstrate 8-10 years experience in. designing developing implementing and supporting applications with expertise in most of the following: Databases (Oracle SQL Server) Cloud (Azure AWS) ETL (Informatica SSIS) and Tools (Tools: source control/issue management: Git TFS JIRA Azure DevOps).

• You have strong skills as a .NET Developer or Application Developer with the framework SQL Server and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller (MVC)) Knowledge of at least one of languages (e.g. C# Visual ) and HTML5/CSS.

• Experience with architecture styles/APIs (REST RPC) Understanding of Agile methodologies.

• Experience with MS Azure Team Foundation Server(TFS) Azure DevOps (ADO) and GIT is required. You should have familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST RPC) understanding of Agile methodologies and excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. Ideally you understand patterns of designing applications for cloud and have knowledge of Agile methodology and experience working in a Scrum team. You possess an excellent troubleshooting and communication skills Attention to detail. You test and deploy applications and systems revise update refactor and debug code improve existing software and develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC). You serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support.

• You have the ability to write clean scalable code programming languages participate in requirements analysis and collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture.

• Its an asset if you are fluent in Object Oriented Design JSON and Restful web services and if you have written Unit Test and UI Automation Tests.

• You have a degree. Bachelors in Computer Science Engineering or a related field. AZ-900 certification preferred.

At CIBC we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $140000.00 - $180000.00 for the Chicago market based on experience qualifications and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business units incentive compensation plan which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
