Job Summary
As a Senior Delivery Manager you will be accountable for the effective delivery of complex critical products and services. You will have experience across a range of products and services managing them throughout the entire product life cycle being responsible and accountable as the main point of escalation whilst nurturing and developing the skills of junior Delivery Managers.
Directorate Overview:
The Digital & Data Services (DDS) directorate is at the heart of CCSs digital transformation journey responsible for delivering modern efficient and user-centred digital services that support over 30bn of public sector procurement annually. Were building a world-class digital capability that will revolutionise how the public sector buys common goods and services.
Team Summary
The role of the Senior Delivery Manager sits within the newly established Delivery Capability Domain within the Digital Data &
Services Directorate (DDS).
Key Accountabilities
Set the standards for delivery management and explore new and innovative ways of working to improve delivery within the organisation
Support and mentor the Delivery Managers within your line management
Facilitating Scrum agile ceremonies across several teams and mentoring the teams on Agile best practices
Support the delivery teams to ensure we have the adequate amount of resource to deliver against goals
Work with business stakeholders to facilitate effective and efficient delivery of products and services from within your portfolio
Define the best processes or delivery methods to use including measuring and evaluating outcomes
Contribute within the wider Agile Delivery community of practice
Develop and utilise meaningful metrics in order to lead teams towards their goals and understand areas for improvement
Own and build relationships with the technical teams Product Owners senior stakeholders management and third-party sub-contractors utilising effective and appropriate governance mechanisms
Ensure milestones project plans and risks within your portfolio are managed and maintained supporting other Delivery Managers within your line management.
Assist delivery teams to manage and visualise outcomes prioritise work and work to agree minimum viable product (MVP)
Facilitate effective communication between the organisation and suppliers manage risks and issues related to supplier delivery and ensure that contractual deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
Essential Criteria (to be assessed at application stage):
Proven experience in delivery/ project management with strong background on Agile methodologies. Agile cert preferred (Scrum master Safe Agilist MSP)
Experience delivering digital products and services and technical programs (eg. Customer facing tools web platforms IDAM Master Data Model B2C and B2B platforms)
Strong understanding of GDS standards product development lifecycle Agile frameworks backlog refinement user story mapping and CI/CD practices
Strong stakeholder management communication skills across product design technology business analysis functions and end users/customers.
Experience with delivery tools such as JIRA Confluence ADO and similar

Working flexibly delivering outcomes
CCS is a flexible business with a smarter working model where our colleagues benefit from a mix of home and office working. Successful candidates are expected to work from one of the office locations listed. Our current office attendance approach requires a minimum of 26 days per quarter (approx 2 days per week which may be subject to change) in CCS office locations or off site meetings with suppliers customers partners networking / industry events. This is pro rata for those who work part time. Selection Process
Candidates who are successful at sift will be contacted as soon as possible following the closing date and advised of the interview process in more detail. The interviews will commence WC 8th December either at one of our offices or via video with interview times and dates to be confirmed. Within the interview there will be a presentation required with more information given once selected.
