Scope is a registered provider under the NDIS and delivers a range of services including supported independent living short term accommodation (respite) social connections lifestyle options therapy and employment services in over 420 service locations across Victoria and NSW.

About The Role

You will play a key role in proactively supporting and empowering our clients to be part of the community their hobbies interests and programs and to live independently.

This role really requires someone fun and vibrant with a passion for supporting young people.

  • Casual position due to new clients joining the program
  • You must be available to work9am - 1pmacross 2-3 days a week (Monday to Friday)
  • Our clients have high support needs so you will need to be comfortable supporting with manual handling behaviours of support medication administration PEG feeding and mealtime management.
  • Supporting clients to engage in outdoor/indoor and hands-on activities such as swimming sports art music gardening or cooking
  • Providing respectful and dignified personal care and daily living support
  • Promoting independence and inclusion in the community
  • Communicating proactively with team members and supervisors to report progress or concerns
  • Maintain positive and welcoming relationships with families colleagues and other service providers

As a Disability Support Worker in one of our services you will work with a team on and off-site of specialists with one common purpose to create meaningful opportunities for people with disability to belong and thrive.

To be successful in this role you must have or be willing to obtain:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance and Working with Childrens Check (Employee)
  • Current Level 1 First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Valid Australian Working Rights and an International Police Check if you have lived or worked overseas for more than one (1) year within the last ten years
