The Opportunity
simpleshow/D-ID is seeking an experienced Business Development leader to architect and lead our next-generation sales development function. We are looking for someone who will push the boundaries of the status quo and pioneer what our B2B sales development looks like in 2026 and beyond.
Youll be a great fit for our Director of Business Development role if you get energized by building systems to overachieve on pipeline goals and want to lead a team of BDs to reach new heights. The existing team has a foundation of 3 BDs aiming to scale to 7 and transform the BD function into a high-performing scalable unit powered by cutting-edge automation data-driven playbooks and modern outbound strategies.

What Youll Do
Modernize our Sales Development Playbook
Design and implement omni-channel prospecting strategies that blend cold calling AI-powered email sequences LinkedIn automation and emerging channels
Enhance the usage and automation of our sales tech stack to create scalable repeatable pipeline generation (our stack currently includes: SalesLoft Zoom Info GMass Yesware LinkedIn Sales Navigator and more)
Build data-driven frameworks that optimize every stage of the funnelfrom MQL to SQL to qualified opportunity
Test iterate and innovate prospecting methodologies to keep us ahead of the curve
Lead & Develop a High-Performance Team
Recruit train mentor and create a culture of continuous improvement for the existing and future BDs
Establish coaching and performance frameworks to attract and retain top talent
Scale the team from 3 to 7 BDRs while maintaining quality and elevating performance standards
Own Pipeline Generation & Growth
Drive quarterly and annual pipeline targets through a mix of inbound optimization and outbound innovation
Monitor & optimize key metrics; activity levels conversion rates meeting quality etc
Implement lead scoring routing and qualification processes to maximize SQL conversion
Partner with Marketing to refine MQL criteria and provide feedback loops that improve campaign effectiveness
Collaborate Across Revenue Functions

Were open to remote applicants in EST or CST to best collaborate with leadership in Europe and team members throughout the US with a willingness to travel to Miami FL or other locations for Sales meetings when required.
Salary
A reasonably estimated base salary for this role at D-ID is $80000 to $110000 (depending on experience) with a variable commission/bonus plan based on pipeline quota achievement. Plus access to our Employee Stock Option Program.
