Location: Sanford FL 32771
Shift: 12-hour Days/Nights (Rotating)
Job Type: Permanent
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: (Negotiable based on experience)
Job Summary:
The Cardiac/Neuro Tele RN is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiac and neurological conditions. This includes assessment diagnosis planning intervention and evaluation of patient care. The RN also provides health teaching counseling and promotes wellness and disease prevention. Responsibilities include administering medications and treatments as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients with cardiac and neurological conditions.
- Perform nursing diagnoses and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments safely according to orders.
- Provide patient and family education on disease processes treatments and wellness.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and outcomes.
- Obtain and maintain NIHSS certification within 30 days of hire.
- Work under NIHSS credentials until official training certificate is obtained.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year recent acute care RN experience (within the last 1 2 years) required.
- Candidates with 3 years RN experience and a compact license may be considered (FL RN license still required).
- Candidates with less than 3 years RN experience must take and pass the FL NCLEX for consideration if they do not hold a FL RN license.
- Education:
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- Required Certifications:
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certifications.
- NIHSS Certification required (must obtain within 30 days).
