Job Summary (ER Registered Nurse)
- Provide and coordinate professional nursing care for assigned patients in the Emergency Department.
- Independently perform duties within accepted nursing practices medical direction and hospital policies and procedures.
- Monitor and interpret vital signs; administer injections and vaccinations as needed.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) specifically Allscripts Paragon system.
- Assess plan implement and evaluate total nursing care on assigned shift.
- Collaborate with other shifts and departments to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Participate in orientation hands-on training and ongoing education to maintain and upgrade skills.
- Float to other units as required without hesitation.
- Work in a 12-bed ER unit alongside 3-4 staff members.
- Follow ANA and specialty nursing standards for competency and excellence.
- Maintain accurate records and participate in policy/procedure updates.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current New Hampshire (NH) RN license or Compact RN license (must be active at submission).
- Minimum of 2 years Emergency Department experience preferred.
- Certifications required: BLS ACLS PALS (AHA); Rhythm Recognition or Basic Arrhythmia experience required.
- CEN and TNCC certifications preferred.
- Proficiency with EMR systems required.
- NO NEW GRADUATES accepted.
Other Details:
- 4 to 6 weeks of hands-on orientation provided.
- $10000 sign-on bonus (paid in installments over the first year).
- Must be able and willing to float to other units.
- Not eligible if previously applied directly to the facility.
