Project Location: Hybrid. Candidates need to reside in PA and are willing to go onsite in Harrisburg 2-3 days per week. Candidates should reside within 60 miles of Harrisburg.
As the Product Implementation Lead for SAP Ariba you will serve as the product owner and strategic delivery lead for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvanias (COPA) procurement transformation initiative. This role is responsible for driving the successful adoption of SAP Ariba across the enterprise replacing legacy systems and manual workflows with a modern scalable and user-centered procurement platform.
You will lead a cross-functional product team manage vendor relationships and work closely with procurement professionals to deeply understand their needs pain points and workflows. Your mission is to deliver a high-impact product that improves procurement efficiency transparency and compliance-while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and digital innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Vision
- In partnership with the Deputy Secretary for Procurement and Chief Procurement Officer define and communicate a clear product vision for SAP Ariba implementation aligned with COPAs strategic procurement goals. Prioritize high-value outcomes and ensure alignment with user needs and business objectives.
- User-Centered Discovery
- Coordinate discovery efforts to understand the needs of procurement professionals and stakeholders. Use research interviews and data to inform product decisions and shape the roadmap.
- Backlog & Roadmap Management
- Own the product backlog and delivery roadmap. Translate business needs into epics features and user stories. Prioritizing work based on impact feasibility and user value.
- Agile Delivery Leadership
- Champion Agile practices across the implementation team. Facilitate iterative delivery continuous feedback loops and rapid learning cycles to ensure the product evolves with user needs.
- Cross-Functional Team Leadership
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of analysts developers change managers and procurement SMEs. Foster collaboration accountability and a shared sense of purpose.
- Vendor & Partner Management
- Manage relationships with SAP Ariba and implementation partners. Ensure delivery quality contractual compliance and alignment with product goals.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a senior product or project leader delivering enterprise-scale digital solutions.
- Strong product mindset with a focus on delivering value solving real user problems and iterating based on feedback.
- Deep experience with Agile delivery methodologies and human-centered design.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills with the ability to influence and align diverse groups.
- Demonstrated success in vendor and contract management.
- Experience leading business process transformation in complex or regulated environments.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Familiarity with state government procurement processes and public sector constraints.
- Experience with SAP Ariba or similar procurement platforms.
Background in digital product management within government or large enterprises.
