Job Summary

InfraHire is looking for a Manager in Newark NJ.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing or poultry/meat processing with proven leadership skills and experience driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee day-to-day plant operations including production packaging maintenance and sanitation.
Ensure all operations comply with USDA FDA and company food safety standards (HACCP SQF GMP etc.).
Monitor production performance metrics to ensure on-time delivery efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Lead train and develop production supervisors and hourly staff to meet operational goals.
Partner with Quality Assurance Engineering and Maintenance teams to resolve process or equipment issues.
Implement process improvements to enhance productivity reduce waste and maintain product consistency.
Ensure adherence to all health safety and environmental policies.
Manage labor schedules production planning and resource allocation based on demand.
Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma practices.
Maintain accurate records of production data inventory and performance reports.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Operations Management Food Science Engineering or a related field (preferred).
5 years of experience in food manufacturing operations; poultry or meat processing experience strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of USDA regulations HACCP and GMP requirements.
Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in a production environment.
Excellent communication organizational and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP systems.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
