We are partnering with a leading petrochemical MNC in the hiring of their E&I Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient execution of all Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) maintenance activities within the plant. This includes the supervision of preventive and corrective E&I work orders troubleshooting and reliability improvement of electrical and control systems and contributing to sustaining CAPEX and long-term maintenance planning.
Responsibilities:
E&I Maintenance Function
Supervise E&I maintenance teams and contractors to ensure all electrical instrumentation and control system works are executed safely and in compliance with company standards and statutory regulations.
Lead the troubleshooting inspection and repair of electrical panels switchgear control circuits PLCs instrumentation loops and field devices to restore optimal system functionality.
Review and provide inputs to the E&I maintenance plan and coordinate with the Planner and Maintenance Engineer to determine corrective maintenance scope priorities and timelines.
Oversee preventive maintenance activities for E&I assets ensuring proper calibration testing and verification of instrumentation and protection systems.
Ensure all contractors and technicians understand the work scope obtain necessary permits and comply with safety requirements.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure all E&I maintenance activities adhere to regulatory SHE and electrical safety standards (e.g. isolation procedures LOTO hazardous area compliance).
Verify that completed E&I work orders meet performance and operational acceptance standards before handover to Operations.
Support maintenance audits and inspections to ensure compliance with statutory and internal requirements.
Maintenance Planning & Reporting
Provide technical input to the Maintenance Engineer for developing the 3-year E&I maintenance plan and CAPEX projects related to instrumentation and electrical upgrades.
Monitor execution progress record actual start and completion dates and ensure accurate documentation for all E&I work orders.
People Development
Train coach and evaluate E&I technicians and contractors to enhance competency in electrical and instrumentation maintenance.
Foster a strong safety and reliability culture within the team through continuous mentoring and performance feedback.
Requirements:
Degree/Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
At least 5 years of E&I maintenance experience in oil gas or petrochemical industries.
Prior experience supervising E&I teams or acting as a team coordinator.
Strong hands-on knowledge of E&I systems in petrochemical operations.
In-depth understanding of electrical protection systems instrumentation and automation control.
Familiar with hazardous area classification loop checks and calibration standards.
Ability to manage maintenance execution teams and contractors effectively under operational pressure.
