Job description

We are looking for a talented and eager postdoctoral researcher to drive a cuttingedge highly collaborative research project in the Voest & Lindeboom laboratories. Combining expertise from both labs you will design novel immunotherapies by integrating innovative proteomics workflows with exciting culture techniques and genetic perturbation assays. You will have access to world-renowned expertise in quantitative proteomics and cancer drug development while analyzing tumor models and primary patient material with the Orbitrap Astral mass spectrometer a gamechanging machine that allows deep quantitative proteome coverage at unprecedented speed and sensitivity.

You will

  • Spearhead the development of an innovative proteomics lens to discover unique targets at the cell membrane for next-generation immunotherapies

  • Apply these proteomics workflows (with technician support) on genetically modified tumor cell lines and organoids

  • Collaborate with clinicianscientists to make a real impact for patients

  • Contribute toopen reproducible scienceand publish in highimpact journals

Job requirements

  • PhD in quantitative proteomics biochemistry or a closely related field;

  • Handson experience in proteomics and data analysis in the context of cancer;

  • Hard working highly motivated curious rigorous teamoriented;

  • Strong publication record and excellent communication in English;

  • Strong drive and inherent excitement to discover novel immunotherapeutic targets withquantitative proteomics.

Your development opportunities and employment conditions

The basic for your employment conditions is in accordance with the CLA Hospitals. You will receive from us:

  • Afully funded 3year postdoctoral researcher positionat our top institution with a dynamic and highly international workforce and ample opportunities for personal development. Preferred start date: flexible (ideally soon);

  • A contract for a period of three years for 36 hours per week;

  • A gross monthly salary between 4.723- and 5.289- based on a 36-hour working week in line with the postdoc scale (FWG55) and depending on your experience and status of PhD finalization;

  • 144 holiday hours and 57 hours of Personal Life Budget with full-time employment;

  • Annual holiday pay of 8.33% and a fixed end-of-year bonus of 8.33%;

  • A travel allowance of 0.23 per km;

  • Free parking at the Netherlands Cancer Institute. And with our bicycle plan and discount on public transport we also make it attractive for you to leave the car at home;
