Job Summary
Great Southern Wood Preserving Inc. producers of Yellawood brand pressure treated pine has a career opportunity available as Distribution Warehouse Manager at its location in Tuscumbia.
The Distribution WH Manager manages hourly warehouse employees and oversees inventory. Is responsible for the overall direction coordination and evaluation of these employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training scheduling evaluating performance disciplining employees addressing complaints order fulfillment loss prevention and resolving problems.
Responsibilities Include
Oversee day-to-day operations of Distribution to ensure tasks and deliverables are completed accurately and timely with exceptional customer service.
Monitor inventory levels and loss prevention mitigation plans.
Support and maintain departmental best practices policies and standardized workflows through continuous improvement initiatives.
Assign tasks and monitor team performance to ensure efficiency and productivity.
Develop monitor and create Standard Operating Procedures when needed.
Ensure accuracy and order fulfillment daily.
Skills
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Strong critical thinking research problem-solving and analytical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel.
Effective communication skills; verbal and written.
Must be able to work in a team environment as well as working alone.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Qualifications
Associates degree with two years related supervisory experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
